It seems that Korean tech giant Samsung too want to put its ands on the circular displays for its smartwatches. This means that the Moto 360 Android Wear smartwatch from Motorola announced earlier, could soon get a competition in its design from its tech rival Samsung.
Samsung has patented three new smartwatch designs all of which come with circular displays. The patent number is US D709, 873 S which covers the design of all three smartwatches with slightly different straps and displays. Now all these watches sport a camera on its strap indicating the use of Tizen OS over Android Wear. The charging port has also been shifted to the strap closing mechanism where the patents cover gesture recognition from the camera. The camera here would be able to recognize finger tips and thus performs some fingered gestures for controlling TV or other things.

We would surely like to hear an official statement from Samsung on this. The Moto 360 could now be possibly announced anytime soon and we are sure that it would surely raise the heat in the market.
