Our yesterday’s prediction turns out to be finally true as Samsung Gear Live has been officially unveiled at the Google I/O event and is priced for $199. The Samsung Gear Live is the first device along with the LG G Watch to runs Google’s wearable operating system Android Wear. Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch host quite a similar specs however, the Gear Live is priced too competitively compared to the G Watch.
Taking a look at the smartwatch, it looks quite similar to the Gear Neo. The button on the bottom bezel has been shifted to the side. Dimension point of view, the Gear Live is bit smaller than the Gear Neo measuring 37.9×56.4×8.9mm and weighs just 59g. the Samsung Gear Live hosts a 1.63inch display with 320×320 resolution, a 512MB of RAM, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 SoC, 4GB of internal storage and 300mAh of battery life. Additional features for the watch includes gyroscope, accelerometer, compass and heart rate monitor. The Gear Live comes with IP67 certification making it water and dust resistant.
The Samsung Gear Live comes in two color options of Black and Red Wine and is priced for $199. The device is currently available on Google Play.
