The Chinese technology blue-chip Huawei is planning to ether the smart wearable market. Huawei is soon to make an announcement regarding its new fitness tracker the TalkBand B1 at the MWC in Barcelona, Spain. As it’s a fitness tracker, this device is specifically introduced for fitness freaks providing details like steps taken, calories burnt, and distance travelled. Additionally this smart device will be able to detect sleep phases as well! The TalkBand B1 sports a 1.4 inch OLED display and is even water resistant. The best part is that it comes with Bluetooth 4.1 which supports wireless calling. This is certainly new feature compared to other fitness bands. Users will be able to pair their TalkBand with Android 2.3 and above and iOS 5 above devices.
The straps holds a 90mAh battery which can charge in just 2 hours and provide upto 7 hours of talk time with up to 6 days of complete use. There is no touchscreen for the TalkBand and comes with a button for interaction. A smartphone app to accompany the TalkBand B1 will be released ahead. Moreover, there is also a USB connector on the band through which you can charge the device.
The TalkBand B1 is believed to hit the Chinese markets soon in March this year. The device will make appearance in other markets like Japan, Russia, Middle East and Western Europe during the second quarter of this year with a price of €99 or $136.
